In the united states for Africa’s 1985 charity single “We will be the World”, the first lyric is usually “there comes a period when we heed some call” (Jackson and Richie). The song, performed by a number of the greatest vocalists of that time period, was designed to help enlighten persons how their selections are impacted in day-to-day life. In the primary lyric, it references how one heeds a specific call. This links to both The Crucible and The Majestic because John and Peter both heeded to Elizabeth and Adele’s call to inform the fact. Both Elizabeth and Adele proceed through times of betrayal, and both have their own psychological response to the happenings that take place, which evolve into acceptance towards John and Peter’s actions. In The Crucible and The Majestic, Elizabeth and Adele present that one individual can inspire a change in mob behavior.

The work of betrayal is among the many that Elizabeth undergoes; she feels betrayed when learning that John dedicated adultery and in addition when John is hesitating to carefully turn Abigail Williams set for lying to the court about the witchery that's present in the city. Elizabeth states, “John, if it weren't Abigail that you need to head to hurt, would you falter now? I believe certainly not ” (Miller 193). Elizabeth seems betrayed because she understands that John includes a background with Abigail, and that's why he's hesitant to confess what he is aware of.
